2010 IPAC Bursary Application
STUDENT BURSARIES
What is IPAC?
The Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC), founded in 1947, is a dynamic association of public servants, academics, and others interested in public administration. Rooted by its Regional Groups, it is a membership-based organization that creates effective knowledge networks and leads public administration research in Canada.
Each year, the Fredericton Regional IPAC Group awards two bursaries in the amount of $1000 to deserving students who are family members of Fredericton IPAC members.
ELIGIBILITY
The following criteria must be met in order for an individual to be eligible to apply for a bursary:
He/she must:
- be a family member (son, daughter) of a Fredericton IPAC Group member in good standing
- have been accepted or currently enrolled, either full-time or part-time (with plans to continue beyond the current academic year) at a recognized post-secondary educational institution
- have two letters of reference – one academic, and one personal from a non-relative
GENERAL CONDITIONS
There are general conditions that must be met:
He/she must:
- be in good academic standing at a recognized high school or post-secondary institution
- be actively involved in community and school life
- demonstrate financial need
- be considering a career in some aspect of public administration
SELECTION
Selection will be made by a bursary committee made up of two members of the IPAC Fredericton Regional Board of Directors and one member of IPAC who is not a board member.
The decision of the bursary committee is final.
Bursary cheques will be made payable to the recipient.
APPLICATIONS
Applications must be received by the Bursary Committee no later than May 15, 2010. The Committee assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, or misdirected applications.
