| Programs IPAC offers numerous types of programs to its members..... International Programs An international exchange program sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) matches the needs of developing countries for technical and managerial assistance with the expertise of the Canadian public administration community. CIDA sponsors joint programs with a number of regional public administration centres in the world. CIDA provides advisors to Russia and the Ukraine (sponsored by External Affairs and International Trade Canada). Case Programs IPAC stimulates the research and writing of case studies and simulations in Canadian public policy and management for use in courses at universities and for in-service training programs at all levels of government. Case studies bring a real-life milieu to classroom discussion in order to join theory and practice. Case studies help develop the students' capacity to think analytically about actual government problems. IPAC and its annual conference..... Our annual conference provides an opportunity for public administrators, university teachers, students of administration and other interested persons to meet, compare and discuss methods for administrative improvements. Our conferences foster a better understanding of the relations between government and the community and establish closer relations between administrative theory and practice. Conferences permit the sharing of experiences, problems and issues that public administration face at all levels of government. IPAC and the seminars offered..... National and International Seminars Provide a forum where officials, free from the usual constraints can engage in a frank exchange of views and assist in the search for solutions on current public policy issues.
